Using terminal to browse internet on ubuntu

Here i’ll show you to install the lynix web browser on your ubuntu operating system. For your information, the lynx web browser isn’t like other browser such as firefor or google chrome. By using firefox or google chrome, you can load images or multimedia contents of the web pages. How about Lynx? Lynx is a populer terminal web browser on flavors of linux. You can guess it? If you browse the internet using Lynx, Lynx will displays plain ASCII text on your terminal. That’s it.  Lynx does not load any images or multimedia contents.

How to install it? It’s easy to install Lynx on your ubuntu operating system. You just need an internet connection and a windows terminal. Here’s the way to install Lynx on your ubuntu:

1. Open a window terminal. Type this:

sudo apt-get install lynx-cur

then press enter. Wait till the installation process is done

2. Now you can enjoy browsing internert using Lynx. For example if you want to open google, type this:

lynx google.com
